North Carolina began life as 911 1991, but it now has carbon fiber body panels wrapped in blood red paint and black leather interior. Its engine is a 4.0-liter 6-cylinder horizontally opposed mated to a manual six-speed gearbox that provides power to the wheels via a modified Ohlins suspension. Brembo brakes complete the package.

Meanwhile, Florida adopted a more subtle approach with its external Hemingway blue and beige interior sand. Its engine, suspension and brakes were modified similarly. Florida began its life in 1989 as 911.

The two cars will first be exhibited in gloucestershire this weekend before traveling to hereford on March 18. For more coverage on island Amelia Concours, head our dedicated hub .
