Aston Martin dealer 80th anniversary with special honors Spitfire V12 Vantage S

an Aston Martin dealer in England celebrates the 80th anniversary of the legendary Spitfire aircraft with a special version, aerospace inspired V12 Vantage S .

The Supermarine Spitfire was one of the most effective combat aircraft during World War II. Created by RJ Mitchell in the UK, his first flight took place in March 1936 and it was presented to the Royal Air Force in August 1938. More than 20,000 Spitfires were built before the design was removed after the end of the war.

To mark the anniversary of the plane, Cambridge Aston Martin has created what will become a model of eight race of the V12 Vantage S Spitfire 80 in partnership with the restoration Aircraft Company in Duxford.

Wrapped in a special green Duxford, named after the base of the now disused RAF where the first squadron of Spitfire parked, the special edition is full of period details like yellow stripes similar to those real aircraft (and not all that unlike CC100 Speedster Concept of it a few years ago).

division Q Aston Martin added special embroidered headrests and an RAF logo on the dashboard of the car. Other details include “liberation” of brands for interior door handles, aluminum splint behind the rear seats, and leather carpets and sheepskin designed to evoke the Irvin jackets worn by pilots flying . Each car comes with a special protective cover and embossed owner’s manual.

The Restoration Aircraft Company, which operates on the basis of one side of the elements provided in craft museums as finishers tailpipe specially designed to evoke the sounds of the real Spitfire.

Buyers of the special edition 180 000 £ can also opt for a special edition Irvin jacket, flight helmet, and goggles.
